Strength isn’t just for athletes. It’s for everyone who wants to live well.
We all know that staying active matters. But as life gets busier, injuries happen, or hormones shift, it can feel harder to know where to start — or how to push further without risking setback.
The Strength & Longevity Clinic is Vitality’s answer to that gap. Led by our specialist physiotherapists, it’s a structured, science-backed programme that takes you from wherever you are now to a place of genuine, sustainable strength.
Whether you’re managing the effects of midlife hormonal change, returning to exercise after injury or surgery, or simply wanting to invest in your physical health for the long term — this programme is built around you.
Who is the Strength & Longevity Clinic for?
The programme is designed for three groups of people — each with their own pathway through the clinic.
Active Adults Over 40 You’re still active — running, at the gym, cycling, playing sport — but you’re noticing that recovery takes longer, niggles linger, and your body doesn’t respond the way it once did. You want to stay strong and mobile as the years pass, not just manage decline. This programme gives you a clinical foundation to build from: proper assessment, a programme designed around your physiology, and expert support at every step.
Women in Perimenopause & Menopause Hormonal change affects your muscles, your bones, your joints, and your metabolism — often all at once, often without warning. Strength training is one of the most evidence-backed responses to these changes, but generic gym programmes weren’t designed with your physiology in mind. Our physiotherapists understand the specific demands of midlife hormonal transition and will build a programme that works with your body — not against it. This programme sits alongside our EmpowerHer women’s health offering for patients with pelvic floor or post-natal considerations.
Post-Rehabilitation & Continuation Patients You’ve completed a course of physiotherapy — perhaps following surgery, a significant injury, or an insurance-funded episode of care — and you’re ready for what’s next. Discharge doesn’t have to mean starting from scratch on your own. Our Continuation Programme provides a structured, clinician-led bridge from rehab to resilience, keeping the momentum of your recovery going and reducing the risk of re-injury.
What does the programme involve?
Step 1: Your Strength & Longevity Assessment — £130
Every programme begins with a 45-minute specialist assessment with one of our physiotherapists. This isn’t a standard physio appointment. It’s a comprehensive clinical review that looks at:
- Your health, injury, and lifestyle history
- Functional movement screening
- Strength and capacity baseline testing
- Your goals — what you want to be able to do, and why
From this, we build your programme plan and recommend which tier is right for you.
Step 2: Your Programme — Foundation, Build, or Perform
Based on your assessment, you’ll progress into one of three programme tiers. Each includes a series of one-to-one physiotherapist-led sessions, a personalised home programme, and follow-up support throughout.

Testimonials:
Janine had been my physio for over 20 years, and this time round she is fixing my knee. I trust her totally and within 3 weeks of the strength programme she has me on, I was flying in football with my first proper sprint in over 2 years, and pain free. And it’s not just the exercises, Janine answers emails when I have queries, explains what’s going on with my body, stays up to date with latest research, and is continually tweaking my programme as my body responds
