You will be asked to sign a consent to treatment form. Here, we will ask you to provide us with your contact details, GP or consultant information. This should only take a few minutes, so please arrive about 5 minutes earlier. This will give you enough time to fill in this form and have your full time of 45 minutes for your first appointment with your physiotherapist.
Your 45 minute initial consultation
Your physiotherapist will then take you into the consultation room, where they will begin by asking you a number of questions relating to your condition to establish a diagnosis. Thereafter the physiotherapist will ask you to do some activities, and will then do some manual tests to confirm the diagnosis. You may be asked to undress so we can properly assess you. Some patients prefer to wear shorts, so please bring these along with you if that is your preference.
Your physiotherapist will discuss with you, your expectations, goals and objectives, in order to formulate a treatment plan for your recovery and rehabilitation.
If you have any scans, x rays or referral letters from your GP or specialist doctor then bring these along with you.
Fees (private patients)
All subsequent standard 30 minute physiotherapy sessions are charged £55.
Your initial 45 minute session will be charged £70.
